We’re all about empowering you with the confidence and knowledge of your contractual rights & responsibilities

HR Review was founded from a place of frustration - witnessing too many situations where an individual signed and overlooked questionable and unfavourable employment contract terms, resulting in:

  • Employers threatening to restrict their current employees from resigning and joining a future employer through enforcing the Employment Contracts’ Post-Employment Restraint terms and obligations;

  • Incorrect classifications of the employee’s rate of pay, not paying casual leave loading, or calculating penalties at the wrong rate;

  • Employers refusing to pay out annual leave entitlements upon termination;

  • Employers unfairly and unlawfully terminating employees without reason and without providing the correct notice period;

  • Employment contracts missing essential terms and conditions.

Our solution saw the need for an ethical alternative:

Meet Jessica

Jessica is a dedicated HR Specialist with 20 years local Australian and international experience in a variety of white and blue collared environments.

Having drafted and witnessed a vast number of contracts throughout her career and across numerous industries, Jessica has found herself regularly reviewing and providing advice to current or future employees about their contractual terms and conditions, and how their current or past employer was now able to restrict the individual’s career progression - even though they were no longer an employee or had resigned!

Through regularly reviewing employment contracts, it was also evident that contracts would often not include essential terms, be poorly & unfairly drafted, outdated and/or Employers not abiding by their own legal terms and conditions.

Jessica is all about supporting people first. She has the ability to work with various stakeholders in a collaborative manner and is able to convey complex contracts into plain language that is easy to understand.

She holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Sydney (2024) and a Bachelor of Business and Commerce, majoring in Human Resources and Organisational Development from Western Sydney University (2012).
